Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the entry fee?

Entry is FREE, but if you are absent without prior notice you will incur a fine of $20..

How many greyhounds can I enter?

It is advisable to only enter as many as you can handle on the day. Recommended 1 greyhound per handler. Restrictions may apply if numbers of entries exceed the maximum. The Judge can only cope with 40 greyhounds maximum in 1 hour. Because we would like to see a variety iof trainers/owners involved this might lead to larger entries having to be reduced. To be advised.

Wearing a muzzle when showing?

The muzzle is to be removed when in the show ring. The public will want to pat the dogs and if you ok with that, and you can trust your greyhound around people and kids, you may remove the muzzle during the day if it is green collared. It is your decision.

What do I need to bring?

Your greyhound/s, kennel mat, water, any treats for the dog and a great fun attitude. Seating may be a problem, so a fold up chair might come in handy. You will be given a sample bag on check in which will have a few essentials pack in it for the day.

What about testicals?

For the Racing Greyhounds, the Judge will allow for undecended testicles, there will be no disqualification for one or no testicles. These dogs should be entered in class 5 (Neutered) regardless of age.

What do we wear?

Dress for the sweepstakes is Smart Casual. If unsure, your black & white racing outfit will be fine.
